Good Friends of the Lowcountry is a non-profit organization comprised of women representing different cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds who are committed to raising monies to financially assist individuals who are disadvantaged in the Charleston, SC and Lowcountry area.

Whether it is providing clothing for a young girl in foster care or supporting a disabled mother who is raising five children, Good Friends of the Lowcountry provides for women on the brink.

Our goal is to help those for whom we can make a difference. We are Good Friends to the community, to our neighbors, and to each other. Education classes, prenatal care and training, utility assistance, housing for battered women, graduation expenses, car payments, dental work, medical expenses, housing payments, twin beds for young children – these are only a few of the many ways Good Friends reaches out to help those less fortunate and in desperate situations living in our community.

We help those who fall below the poverty line and who have nowhere else to turn. We are women helping women!
